Core Beliefs
Young Heart Ministry is a non-denominational Christian ministry and follows the core beliefs of the Protestant Christian faith. This means that although I acknowledge and respect there are some differences in non-essential beliefs within the denominations, this ministry is focused on the essential beliefs of being a follower of Jesus Christ. Any services performed and counseling given will always adhere to the biblical doctrine of the Protestant faith, regardless of an individual's denomination. Love and grace will be given freely to all, just as our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, gives love and grace to all. New believers and those that are curious but not yet believers are also welcome to contact me for guidance and counseling on these core beliefs.
Jesus as Lord and Savior
I believe that Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior. I believe that no one comes to the Father except through him. I believe that he was crucified, died, bodily resurrected and taken up to heaven to sit at the right hand of the Father for the atonement and forgiveness of all sins. I believe that anyone that accepts Jesus as their Lord and Savior and believes in their heart that they will be given eternal life.Eternal Life
For God so loved the world in this way, He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23 Truly I tell you, anyone who hears my word and believes in him who sent me has eternal life and will not come under judgement but has passed from death to life. John 5:24 Eternal life means when our earthly bodies pass away, our spirit and soul is separated from it and we will have everlasting life with God in Heaven. In the second coming of Jesus, he will create a new Heaven and a new Earth and we will receive glorified new bodies.Holy Trinity
I believe in the Holy Trinity: The Father, The Son and the Holy Spirit are three distinct persons in the One true God. I believe that Jesus is fully God and fully human. I believe that the Holy Spirit is poured out on those that are baptized in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.Baptism
Baptism in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit is a necessary prophetic act. While I do not believe in baptism alone for salvation, as acceptance of Jesus Christ is the only way to salvation, it is a prophetic act that is an outward expression of becoming the bride of Christ, part of his Holy church and for others to witness our dedication to Him. I do believe it is necessary to profess our faith before men. I believe in baptism by immersion in water amd the outpouring of the Holy Spirit is a gift from this act.The Bible
I believe that the Bible is God-breathed divine revelation. I believe the Bible is God's Word. I believe that the Bible is the irrefutable truth of God and that the Word of God is a necessary part of a believer's walk with God to stay true to his will and purpose. I believe that anything added or taken away from the Word of God is sin and shall face rebuke from God as stated in Proverbs 30: 5-6 "Every word of God proves true; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him. Do not add to his words, lest he rebuke you and you be found a liar." 2 Peter 1: 20-21 "Knowing this first of all, that no prophecy of scripture comes from someone's own interpretation. For no prophecy was ever produced by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit."Gifts of the Spirit
Now there are different gifts, but the same Spirit. There are different ministries, but the same Lord. And there are different activities, but the same God works all of them in each person. A manifestation of the Spirit is given to each person for the common good: to one is given a message of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the message of knowledge by the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit, to another the performing of miracles, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another interpretation of tongues. One and the same Spirit is active in all these, distributing to each person as he wills. 1 Corinthians 12: 4-11
